This letter was begun on December 6th and finished on the 9th, just one day prior to Mom's premature birth. Ethel died one day later on the 11th. She was 28 years old. Ethel is writing from her home in Harrington, Washington, to her younger brother, Hubert, who is away at boarding school in Spokane. The writing is a little direct and to the point. It's also somewhat difficult to read as Ethel was very sick at the time of writing. Refer to the captions under each page to see my attempt to decipher some of the key passages.
