This is the lighthouse off Nye beach in Newport. After K and I checked into the Sylvia Breach Hotel we walked down the breach taking pictures. As an effect I got a bunch of pictures of getting closer and closer to the lighthouse.

Another shot of the light house off Nye beach in Newport. A special thanks to the photogenic group of galls who agreed to fly into the shot.

This is at Nye beach. These kids were doing flips off the sea wall as we walk by. I heard the boy in the black shirt say to one of his friends “Film this, because I might die.” With a line like that I had to take a quick shot. The picture had good contrast but not much color so I tried it in black and white. I like it better then the color version.

This is looking down N.W. Cliff at the Sylvia Beach Hotel. The Sylvia Beach Hotel is green building on the corner. I loved the color of the buildings. It would have been nice to retake this shot with different light conditions.

One night after dinner I spent about an hour taking pictures of the light house off Nye Beach. I wanted to learn more about light conditions. After awhile I had the light house timed. This is just as it was out of the camera. I like the color of the water and the sky.

Of the dozens picture I took of this lighthouse, this is my favorite. The clouds were moving across the frame as I took pictures. In this shot they framed the best. This is just as it came out of the camera. The shot was so nice I turned it into my banner on my blog.

One morning, while K was getting ready for breakfast, I went out to walk around and take pictures around the Sylvia Beach Hotel. This is a picture of some old nylon nets hanging on a brand new cedar wood fence. I like the texture and color.

This is a very energetic little min-pin K was saying hello to on Nye breach. I am really happy with this shot. I caught the dog in air and the amusement of K.

This is the most photographed lighthouse in the world. It is right across from Sea Lion caves, the biggest tourist trap in Oregon. I had a really hard time getting the horizon straight in the shot. K got a much better shot of this lighthouse using our old Fuji Film FinePix 360.

This is garden angel at my Mom’s house. The sun was setting behind it and I had taken enough pictures of flowers. The light could be better. I wanted to play with camera flare.

This is one of the loins at Wildlife Safari in Winston Oregon. We got there early in the morning on the 4th. The Rangers had put some hid treats out and this male was very interested in the one another lion had.

This is one of those shots you have to take. You are this close to a lion. With that said, I really think the light, contrast and color could be much better.
