We although we do not get snow here in San Francisco, the higher local mountains occasionally do. Mt. Diablo towers 3,800 feet over the Bay Area and
is about 35 miles from the City. This weekend there was about 2" of snow at the summit and flocks of fun-seeking residents will make the drive up there.

With the snow rapidly melting, it was still cold enough for water to freeze around this pine needle. Snow is always a novelty here.
