Into the Labyrinth of Dreams.

Into the labyrinth of dreams.
(Sorry in advance for the approximative translation).

To walk in the streets of a city, it is as to walk into the labyrinth made by all the dreams of «the others». Before being built this facade was imagined by an architect ; this door, this sign, this ornament took shape in the thoughts of the owner before to be offered to the view of the passers-by. The colors of these graffiti were wanted by the urban artists who find the cities walls too ugly or too grey ... The quick thought, the recurring dream are so realized into something tangible.

Strolling in a town is also to meet the impermanent. In the streets took place scenes belonging to the various aspects of the human comedy : the fleeting encounters , the friendly or love exchanges, the gossip, the altercations ...
We come here to get fresh ideas, to dream oneself... Street, alleys, are like passages, thresholds which can change our moods.

This labyrinth is ceaselessly subject to the changes due to the passage of the hours of the day and to the seasons cycle. A light, suddenly, reveals fleetingly a detail we had still never noticed before and renew the look we cast on the city.

Here are some images stolen from this labyrinth where constant and impermanent meet (here, Quimper, but it applies to of course any other town)...
* except otherwise stated all these images have been taken in Quimper.
