I happened to notice this bee on a thistle and could not figure out what it was doing. It was expelling some jelly-like substance out of its mouth(?) & agitating it with its legs and then taking it back into its mouth and then repeating it all over again. It did this for quite some time until it finished and I managed to get one shot of it at the end that shows what it normally looks like. I have not been able to find out what kind of bee it is or what it was doing. If anyone knows, I would love to find out.
