UP 844 is one of the last big steam locomotives operating today. It has an active schedule and can be seen across the western US in the spring and summer. It was in Ogden UT for the Golden Spike 140th anniversary over the weekend of 10 May 2009. The train was headed east up Weber Canyon on its way to Cheyenne.
