These photos were made in Nine Mile Canyon in Eastern Utah. The rock art was done by indigenous people for the most part. There is more modern carving also. Many of the figures are typical of Fremont peoples who were gone from the area by around 1200. Other carvings were made by more modern people but in the same style. Note the presence of horses in some of the panels. Horses did not show up in this area until the 17th century. There is a lot of information about this canyon on line.
