It's what got me to looking for them to begin with. Now I see them all the time it seems. I just saw one being chased by a sparrow in Alamo Heights. Small world!

My husband and I kept seeing one of these in a pack of Turkey Vultures on roadsides between New Braunfels and Canyon Lake. We looked it up and found out it was this Crested Caracara. It was not quite as large as a Turkey Vulture but pretty good size. I believe it's also referred to as a Mexican Eagle.
