It was a great deal of fun watching the Hooded Warblers flitting around all over the Quintana Neotropical Bird Sanctuary this past weekend. I love how they flash the white tail tips as they chase insects. So often they would fly right next to me, too close for photos. There is something really special about seeing these tiny creatures at such close range. Spending time with these birds is a welcome change from the ongoing stresses of life, especially lately.
