It’s nice to have time to explore a little when traveling abroad and to my delight we had a nice opportunity to explore some of the back roads around Tarcoles during our last visit to Costa Rica. A nice little surprise during our outing was a small pond with a pair of Least Grebes and their chick. The pond was small enough that we were able to get some nice close-ups in beautiful afternoon light. It’s fun to discover little spots to revisit on future trips.
