This Elegant Tern was flying up and down the Surfside jetty creating quite a bit of excitement for all of us local birders as it is a very rare bird for Texas. The bird had been reported the day before so I decided to give it a try. To my delight it was one of the first birds I saw when I stepped out onto the jetty. That never happens!
