This Jabiru was tending to its nest high in a dead tree along the road to our lodge. As far as we could tell it seemed to be incubating eggs as we could see no sign of nestlings. Any way you look at it, this is just one weird looking bird. If you are interested in seeing them in the wild, I can’t think of any better place to do so than the Pantanal.
