The Indigo Bunting is one that we heard frequently during our visit to Michigan and regretfully we didn’t spend much time looking for. We do get a ton of them moving through SE Texas during migration and they do breed near my home so that might have curbed some of the excitement over this species in our group. Looking back on it I am glad I spent some time with this one in Ohio on the way up to meet the tour. Even if it is a common bird it is just too beautiful for me to ignore.
