Ixobrychus exilis
Yesterday we had lots of these Least Bitterns during our trip around Anahuac and the Bolivar Peninsula but as is typical with this species not many of them wanted to pose for pictures. However, persistence paid off and we eventually found one that give us a few minutes in the open.
