In 2007 the immigration service (IND) decided that it was safe for him to return to Lebanon. Jimmy appealed the decision and was awaiting the outcome of his appeal, scheduled for 21st November, when he was arrested, put into detention in Soesterberg and threatened with being deported to Lebanon.
