A visit to Hearst Castle is always interesting. For those who take a tour by evening, it's downright magical. If you time it to arrive at the castle around sunset the views are spectacular. Reenactors roam the grounds as workers, guests, you name it. You'll see them strolling, playing games, or even calling in stories to the Hearst papers. It's well worth the visit.
Flash photography is prohibited, so bring a camera that's good in low light. Fortunately, most recent vintage cameras can handle the low light better than the Fuji that I shot these with. I like to think of these as having a "vintage" look, but it was a matter of crank up the ISO and deal with the noise, or no photos.
