Cemetery

It seemed as though everywhere you went in Vietnam there were burial markers or cemeteries. They all seemed to be a thousand years old from the appearance. It is an ancient culture, but I imagine the real reason was that the stone used for them eroded more quickly than marble or granite. This was a cemetery or burial site in our area of operations.

One use we found for the walls around the graves were good positions to be in when on night ambush!

Somehow seeing La Toan Vinh's simple comment here caught me completely by surprise. It choked me up.
