I roamed Myrtle Beach's arcades and gift shops last week and took a walk back in time. There were rows of the old baseball games that I remember playing as a kid. Players literally circle the bases as you tried to hit the chrome balls, which appeared magically from the floor of the game, up the ramp and into the stands for extra base hits. And skee ball is much the same, although the balls were had dimples which I didn't recall. And hockey and ice cream and kitchy gifts are all still part of the scene.
