hey Phil, long time, no see.

I've rented studio space at the Art Place in downtown durham and doing a sort of Petite Opening (as opposed to a Grande Opening) during Artwalk the weekend of April 5/6. I want to offer you the opportunity to use my studio, if you would like to display some of your photos of the Phoenix garden shoot. I'm also hoping to be able to set up a laptop to do a slideshow of your shots, but not sure exactly how to do that--won't have wireless in the studio. Anyway just checking in to see if you'd like the opportunity to show off your stuff. you can reply, or call me on my cell at 919-824-2239, take care! Frank Hyman.

Wow, I've seen lots of photographs through the years, but Phil, these blow me away! the photos are consistently wonderful, great design, contrast, lighting, attention to detail, and you can tell that a lot of thought and care has gone into each one. What else can I say? Looking forward to the future photographs, fantastic job! I appreciate the fact that you can share them.

Hi Phil, After seeing the photo of Pittsburgh you e-mailed me, I had to "neb" around the rest of your site. When I first e-mail you and mentioned your photography "hobby", I was not aware that you were already an accomplished professional. Your photography is exceptional! I forwarded the photo to the rest of my family. My mother, now in The Woodlands, Texas was amazed and told me it made her homesick. My brother and sister in Texas were also impressed. My father, living the West View area of Pittsburgh was.... well.... his usual self; His comment, "All pictures of Pittsburgh are beautiful". Hey, he's 83, was born there, will die there..... Andy

Hi Phil,

Thanks for stopping by my galleries,

As for your question. Most of the process i do is the Unsharp mask tool inPhoto shop. Every once in a while i also use a soft light layer to boost contrast. I hope this is opf help.
