My wife Joy and I had the pleasure of seeing a bit of Colorado while I was on a business trip the second week of August. We stayed in Beaver Creek at The Charter, which we found entirely hospitable. Flowers are everywhere, wild or planted in window boxes or big ceramic pots. On the last day we took a guided jeep tour up into the mountains to 12,000 feet. Our tour guide Greg kept us entertained the whole way telling tales, most probably true, about the history of Colorado and the region. Later, we went back to the small towns of Minturn and Red Cliff to take pictures.
