I had a grizzly encounter on the road about 40 miles east of here. But...A internet tech in a pick-up truck gave me a ride all the way to North Face Lodge Lodge where he was called for a repair job.
While waiting around for him to finish I was able to enjoy Denali from a place I normally would not have reached.
While hiking solo for a week I had only good experiences from all the people I met.
