From June of 1987. Wife enters opening as son Keith(not quite 15)in red Phillies cap swings upward.
Still a Phillies Pfan even though he lives in Alaska.

Four of us backpacked to the bottom & Phantom Ranch.
Spent the nite & walked out via Kiabab Trail the following day.
Temp at bottom was 102 & the trip to the top was a real grunt even though I was running 3 1/2 miles every other day for several years.
