Stromness Whaling Station, South Georgia

Stromness whaling station is the historic site where Sir Ernest Shackleton ended his journey to secure a rescue for his men stranded in Antarctica. The Norweigan whaling station is now long-abandoned and crumbling under the force of South Georgia's ferocious climate. The site is now ruled by Antarctic Fur Seals and King Penguins.
