Tulip Time at Keukenhof and The Netherlands - 2008

The trip to the Netherlands that I planned for months is now just a memory, but I have these wonderful photos to remind me of the beauty of Holland during the Spring! From walking the streets of Amsterdam to countless hours at the Keukenhof, this trip was perfect. Much much much thanks to my good friend Peter Esseveld for taking me on two days worth of tours around the Netherlands. You're a great tour guide Peter!!! I also spent my last day traveling the roads of north Holland and the fields of color were brilliant. I have also posted photos from my day trip to Amsterdam in another gallery for everyone to view. Thanks to all for sharing this trip to the Netherlands with me. I hope each of you enjoy looking at my photos, and if you have never been "across the pond" during Springtime, it is definitely worth a visit!!!
I am adding a photo of the speeding ticket I received in the mail from the wonderful automated camera systems spread throughout the Netherlands, of which I am a victim!!! Remember, Big Brother is watching!!! I received the speeding ticket in the mail a couple of weeks ago. I plead guilty to the offense though. I am sure I was driving with a heavy foot!!! Future travelers, be forewarned!!! Those metal boxes on the side of the road will get you!!!

Curtis, Where did you find those blue tulips. They are breathtakingly beautiful. The one picture looks like a blue river running thru fields of flowers. Keep up the good work.

Wow what beautiful pictures. We were there on April 20th and the fields were just starting to bloom. I wanted to see them like you did but unfortunately that didn't happen. We only had 2 hours in Kuekenhoff so we did not see everything you did. Thanks for allowing me to see what I missed. Makes me want to go back!!! I ordered a package of 105 bulbs so I hope next spring I will see some beautiful groupings that will remind me of my trip.

Hi, Curtis, The flowers are beautiful! I loved the red crown upside down flowers with the green spikes on top! They were wonderful! What are they called, and can you get the bulbs? Be careful coming home! We miss you!

Curtis, What wonderful memories you bring back to me. We have been there about 5 or 6 times. One time I had a chance to ride a bike (Pete's Uncle's)with Peter through fields like those. You did a great job in taking those photos. THANKS FOR THE WONDERFUL MEMORIES ! Don & Nellie
