mushroom on tree

On a rare sunny day we had a closer look at what we could find in our own back yard - literally. Don't you love the color and bokeh of this 25-year old lens?

Gotta love using a fast 50mm, especially wide or nearly wide open. Modern gear is also excellent, but it seems that older primes can also deliver the goods while looking distinctly different. Keep shooting! Earle T

The point-of-view, from beneath and looking up the tree trunk, is very effective. Gorgeous, vivid colours. Perhaps more of a depth of field would have been even better, but this is still an eye-catching shot. I also suggest cropping out the blue circles on the left, as they draw the eye.
