I tried it in B&W as well and I think that I too prefer the lovely warm tones of the wood. :-) Carrhighlander

Nice composition, details, and beautiful wood tones. Excellent selective focus across the forward surface, bridge and strings really makes it pop out. -tv

dust is gone. (I'll leave this here for now)

I tried a b/w version of this Penny and although it looked good, I think I like the warm tones of the wood better, so leave this here! You might want to clone out those few dust specks that are near the strings but this is a very nice "Part" picture! :-) CJ

The problem with desaturating this IS the lighting on the bridge - it doesn't work very well. So - me thinks this is just not a great photo to begin with. And this isn't my cello (although I love the instrument). I'll find something else...no worries.

Great subject and I like the focus on the bridge. -COAmature

I agree I would like to see wot this looks like in B&W. The strings would pop out of the picy then.

You play the cello? Wow! A nice "part" Penny - did you try this in black and white too? CJ
