Personally I'm thrilled with where you've taken this.. There have been suggestions, yes, but that's how comments should function. And it's all your own work! :) I like the composition as well.. good gesture and angle.

Yeah, I guess I'm not so good at that part either. I'm happy, though, for everything you've taught me so far and it looks as if I have a lot to learn.
This looks great!

Removing wrinkles isn't hard, but edges can be tricky..

well this only shows my hand. I don't think I will find a recipe for the rest of me, either.
Rod 11-Feb-2008 07:22
Yes Kiki's recipe works well here young Penny:-) but she hasn't figured out how to get my skin looking good yet. Maybe she needs a mainframe computer to get rid of my wrinkles:-)
ctfchallenge10-Feb-2008 18:44
Now you look comfortably warm, imo :)

Oh my! - you took years off my life!!!!!! Thank you.
I will admit that I had no idea what I was doing in PS but whatever it was definitely worked - I will keep your instructions in a safe place. I also put the "old" pic in pending so you can see the difference for yourself. write to me anytime @ pennystreetblues@yahoo.com
PS Rod - NOW you can call me young.
ctfchallenge10-Feb-2008 08:31
Just a suggestion, heading in the "skin color" direction i prefer:
Selective color, Method: relative, Colors: neutral:
C: -15, M: -15, Y: +6, B: -10
Duplicate layer, blend mode "soft light"
Place original on top, opacity 50%.
Adjust to taste.

If this didn't make sense.. is there a mail addie I can reach you on?

Thanks Mr. Rod

Nicely done Penny, it does look better wivout the PS nails.
ctfchallenge09-Feb-2008 04:18
So - you repeat yourself BECAUSE I cant remember. Anyway, I found the selective color~! Now what?
ctfchallenge09-Feb-2008 04:14
thanks fly. I was hoping you would give me a go ahead.

who would want a photograph of a green restroom? Ha ha ha

I keep coming back to see this. Although we won't admit it, It proves that even we he-men like pink although we won't admit it. As Exxon Corp discovered in market testing gas station bathrooms, people of both genders lingered much longer in restrooms painted pink than painted green. -tv
ctfchallenge08-Feb-2008 16:04
Hmm... so I repeat myself lol. I have a gripe with Canon for their skin color you see.

You asked me that before and I never looked. I will tonight when I get home.
I'm afraid we have an older version though.
ctfchallenge08-Feb-2008 15:31
Penny, in Photoshop under "Image->Adjustments": Do you have a menu item called "Selective Color..." ?

I was afraid my hand looked my age so you weren't sure that I am a female, which I am. But I'll take any compliments that come my way so thank you very much! Penny Street
aam1234 08-Feb-2008 06:48
That was a compliment. As for the name, my first language is not English so I don't know whether "Penny" is a male or a female name.
ctfchallenge08-Feb-2008 01:54
I'm not quite sure what you mean....
aam1234 08-Feb-2008 00:09
Penny, you get Karma points for just being honest. You Da Man (or woman?)
ctfchallenge07-Feb-2008 21:13
This one works well with even, natural tones. The other was a cute idea that might have worked in a pop art show. -tv
ctfchallenge07-Feb-2008 19:27
I sent the other one to pending. Learning little by little ..... thanks for the help.

I like everything about this version better. The sense of touch is less muted, the color is more natural, the fingernails... Well done. -COAmature
ctfchallenge07-Feb-2008 17:30
Me five! :) Most definitly. The nails where a bit of a distraction in the other one.
-Techo
Britt 07-Feb-2008 15:24
Better than other version. :)
ctfchallenge07-Feb-2008 12:40
Me three, Penny! I like this one much better. I couldn't get past the fingernails to wonder what the story is in this image. Now, I can find all kinds of things that might be going on. ~Lydia

I agree! - claire
aam1234 07-Feb-2008 06:10
Much better I would say.
