Actually, John, it's very simple when you shoot with snow as a background. :) Here's a link to the original, unedited RAW file, exactly as it came from the camera. I did not retouch anywhere around his head except where I airbrushed out the body, to complete the isolation of the head. I merely brought back the contrast from the overexposure, then, Yes, Mikey, I little dollop of Lucis. ~ Lonnit
Now this I can identify with ... very nice effect. I guess you have to blow the highlights in post processing because it is too unpredictable to just hope your sensor tops out correctly ... meaning I think it would be rather hard to go to the zoo and purposefully overexpose this picture this way and expect to get this terrific effect. You could blow it some to get a head start but to have it just wipe out the eyes and come out exactly on the jawline would be very hard to do. John
