design forty six
23-DEC-2007 Penny Street

design forty six

Joyce Street Theatre, NYC

Rule: Easily identifiable subject
Comment: These light structures surrounded the seats in the theatre and were well worth documenting, even though there was no other light available for the photo. Because they were the only light around, the design image becomes abstract and rather fun. No one would ever be able to identify these as what they really are. Probably even if they had been to the theatre.

other sizes: small medium original

I like them Penny. It took me a long time to identify what I was seeing. John

Very interesting, but the rule of thirds was followed. The gold exits the frame precisely on the upper line of thirds on the left, and precisely on the lower line of thirds on the right. You will qualify on the first rule you site, if you submit your explanation as for why the image works. Please do so and return this to the gallery. Thanks. ~ Lonnit

Penny - this is wonderful; even after you've identified the subject I'm still scratching my head as to what this is - why not in Eligible? - Kelly
