Rule Broken: NEVER Only shoot the sky or the ground, always have 1/3 of one, and 2/3 of the other!
Why Broken: Fascinating (to me anyway) cloud formation... while driving down a road... and I didn't want a truck or a road sign at the bottom of the image.
I've not heard that rule. I've only heard it in reference to if you are including sky and ground, that this would be the recommended proportions. If you've heard never to shoot just sky or just ground, then I'll take it at face value. If it is indeed a rule, I certainly agree with you on your reasoning for breaking it. Qualified! ~ Lonnit
