Thanks, shu! I am blushing! ~Sharon
Shu03-Dec-2007 23:36
Unique and funny, but most of all, image manipulation done so well it seems not to offend the purist photographer. The new "do" is cute and the expression priceless! Marvelous work! shu

Thanks, Mary Anne! I am not sure I deserve such a nice comment! ~Sharon

Thanks so much, Debi, Rod, Julie, b.c., John and tv! Debi (and Rod), if I knew how to do what you said I would probably have done that and I was intending to learn how to do this properly last night but it was so late by the time I got to it I did it the only way I knew and probably much more difficult than it needed to be. I simply made a selection of part of the cushion and copied and pasted it into a new layer, then moved it over me and changed the opacity to about 30% so that I could see through it enough to erase the parts sticking out over the edges. I did this three times, once for the body and one for each arm. Then I changed the opacity to where I wanted it and dodged and burned the parts that needed it. Not to difficult really, just time consuming. b.c., yes, I used William Shatner acting techniques to come up with this pose! :-) ~Sharon

How clever, Sharon! You amaze me once more with your originality and sense of humor. The photo and PP skills, of course, have already been long apparent.

Sharon, once again you have thought outside the square with stunning results. I admire your individuality and style. Julie

a great example of thinking different - very clever! and the pose is very reptilian too - either that or reminds me of something from an old Star Trek Episode :-) - b.c.

Great - did you convert the cushion cover to a a texture file and apply it? - Debi
Rod 03-Dec-2007 18:34
How did you get this effect Sharon? It certainly looks like it's painted on, if you did it in PS it's expertly done. The shot doesn't look silly at all as these types of creatures normally freeze when they sense danger for the camouflage to work, & that's what this pose looks like.
I agree wiv Carole the new hair really suits you, it suits Carole too as it looks similar. The house in Cape Cod sounds very tempting & would probably be a bit cheaper than the two L lenses I was looking at buying:-)
Well done on the picy it works great.

Thanks, Kelly and Rod (I think? :-))! I am still in the middle of caring for my Mom, she had a hip replacement recently, and working to get their house ready to put on the market (does anyone want to buy a house with a secondhand bookstore attached on Cape Cod? :-)). I barely had time to do this image, actually I didn't have time to do it, it was posted at 3am! If I had had more time it wouldn't look so silly! ~Sharon
