thanks tv & Tom. haha, _noisy_ karts! I hadn't thought of that. yeah I suppose they're noisy when running, especially since this is an indoor race track. but they're sooo much fun to drive you hardly have time to notice - b.c.

This is nice b.c., the bright colors pop right out. Good to know about the disabled NR, I was thinking of trying mine with it enabled. This shot tells me, "Don't bother Tom". Course, the L lens 'might' have something to do with it? Thanks

ps: they look quite noisy themselves, but fun to drive I'm sure.

I like the way the receding perspective is stopped short by the horizontal guard railing that recoils the eye back into the frame. Brilliant looking exposure - I wonder if the D40 has an improved sensor. Anyway looks good. -tv

thanks Rod, Debi. Rod that's the really old lens I mentioned, it's discontinued and been replaced with newer generation model twice. Debi - this was shot as JPEG at ISO1600, no noise reduction applied in PP, and the high-iso NR option in camera disabled. - b.c.

Amazing lack of noise at ISO 1600. Assuming that no s/w was used? Great Pic - Debi

Ah well done B this does work well, the yellow grid lines really help to lift the picy too. Well done mate. I must have a read about the 17-35 lens too.
