Hi CJ et al: thank you all for your comments! learn a lot from my newbie's participation in these challenges.

let me try to see what CJ is saying: if i were to crop a little of the top away, i.e just sufficient to remove the upper left corner's maroon leather "handle" of that red bag and therefore, effectively remove the upper most left corner's navy-patterned area, that would have the collateral issue of cutting off part of the "Mini" car's windshield on the upper right corner! I thought that while the upper left corner's maroon handle + navy background is undesirable/distracting, the collateral issue of removing the Mini's hood and part of its windshield is possibly more onerous!

what do y'all think, may i ask? it's funny that this designer's view of the flag is so different in terms of colors that many here think the colors are "off"! in fact, it's relatively accurate but just that they are unexpected colors of the British flag!

Thx all in advance!

I like this nice colorful cluttered shot Vincent! I think a crop of the top down of where the left top bag diagonal goes into the corner might make a tighter composition and eliminate that bit of paisley bag at the left top corner which tends to draw my eye. A little increase in contrast and maybe even a little darker might look good too by toning down the brightness of the band on the purple purse. Just a few thoughts as this is also good as is! CJ

interesting picture. I would love to have the red bag on top. Very stylish - Debi

Hello Gerry:

The colors are a function of this particular designer's "take" on the flag's design. He/they took generous liberties on making the design "work" for them in their current collection of Fall 2007 bags for men. btw, it is a British men's designer. Very minor and few color adjustments were made.

This for me is an interesting on topic shot which looks quite "arty", but the colours seem to be a long way out judging by the Union Flag at the bottom of the frame. -mcbit

Thank you all for your comments. i've only recently "discovered" these "challenges".

thank goodness we had a stretch of fine weather recently. but, alas, rain is coming tomorrow.

La Bummer, as they say in France! ;)

Good take. NYC has so much clutter that its hard to avoid it. But the art is setting it apart from the rest and confining it into the frame. In this image, the net works so well as a container that it seems about to explode from the top where it is relatively unfettered except for the picture frame, which is about to burst. Good visual play. -tv

Nice Vincent. I like the rusting wire basket that is holding these purses together. John
