This one should be about 50KB. (I think) I sorta figured it out!

No, I don't have photoshop yet. It is the software that came with the rebel xt,Digital Photo Professional. If anyone knows how to walk me through it I am game! In the interim, I'll look further for compression.
Thanks!

Hi Cindy :)

You're getting closer but both pics still aren't under the 150kb file size.
You don't have to resize the pic anymore, any smaller and it will be too small, you have to compress it further. When saving the file as a jpg , there should be a compression or quality option . What photo editor are you using?Photoshop , Photoimpact?

For photoshop here is a quick tutorial
http://www.awdsf.com/courseware/photoshop/ps5_saving.htm

Using "save for web" allows more control than just "save as..." but then you loose the exif info. Either way photoshop shows you what the final file size will be in both dialogs. Im sure you could squeeze both pics under 150kb and not notice any serious image degradation. And also, after resizing a pic, usually best to apply some sharpening, to your taste of course.

Sorry you guys/gals! I resized them - I got so into processing and forgot to resize!
I hadn't even noticed the blue. It's a shame I can't reshoot. The peanuts were really good!

Hi Cindy :)

Yes, this does look good. My fave of the two photos you've posted. The lighting is good and so is the focus and DOF. The only other thing I would suggest in post processing is just an extra tad of sharpening, you can try to apply some Unsharp Mask in two steps, one with a small radius and bigger amount, and the other with bigger radius and smaller amount. The only thing is the blue spot there, if you do happen to reshoot, seeing all nuts without the surface and/or background would be perfect. Love the title btw ;)

p.s.
Please resize/recompress this pic and your other photo "tinsel town" to under 150KB(153,600 bytes). Wouldn't want to move it to Pending or recompress it via PBase. Please check this thread for more info
