This works Brett, like Paul I hate those bleeding silly infantile self portraits with the camera into a mirror but for this topic you did well mate:-)
Paul 05-May-2006 10:13
Is that you then? :>)

I don't normally like self portraits when you can see the camera and especially when you've got the flash as well. I don't like black and white either. But i like this quite a lot. I think the 3 eyes in a line and in their place in the photo really grabs the attention and holds it, well done.

Are you a musician? You have the fingers.

This looks a lot better Brett. I don't know how you did your b&w, but using Photoshop "Elements" program, I found I had a lot more control over the tones by desaturating the picture then using "levels" to adjust the red, green and blue channels and then adjusting contrast, darkness and highlights and lastly, some USM. Good self portrait and good idea for the challenge - You should put this in the "Rogues" gallery! :-) CJ

Thanks for the advice guy's. I think i like this better too because the face is not covered in a white haze. B&W almost takes that all away. Cheers for the tip.

I agree with RK about the b&w. The light on the right is distracting, but I think would be enhancing in b&w with some contrast thrown in. jano

Great concept. Will look even better in b&w...I think.
