Happy Easter Spiros:-) Did you lighten the light in the room, or do you have some post processing secrets to share with us?

I bet this wins & we have to put up wiv Spiddy as host:-)
Rod 21-Apr-2006 21:59
Spiddy where are you? Don't tell me you're one of those weirdos that are always out taking picys & not sat in front of a computer screen.
Rod 20-Apr-2006 09:01
Maybe all Spiddy did was to dodge the reflections to bring em up, but with his lack of response to this raging controversy it makes me wonder if he superimposed the outside view into this shot. (Hopefully that statement will make him respond):-)

The window surrounds are white or close to. The sun is above. There is haze, maybe smoke on the distant hills giving it the dull light-hardly unusual in the Greek isles. The light on the frames is significantly brighter than that which is reflecting up and into the room...or have you got your sunglasses on?
Rod 19-Apr-2006 08:18
Natural be buggered, the view through the window doesn't say mid-day light does it? There's a hint of orange on the murky dull horizon suggesting early or late mate. Light doesn’t intensify when it reflects off these surfaces it decreases. So tell me how the reflections are brighter than the outside scene? And don’t use me white building theory, get yer own:-) It's a very nice shot though init.

Excellent. It looks perfectly natural to me with the internal light coming from that reflected on the window surrounds

This is very, very nice. I love how the abandoned interior contrasts with the shining world seen from windows
Britt 18-Apr-2006 13:49
I think this is a great shot!
Rod 18-Apr-2006 10:47
It seems to look a bit unnatural somehow as the outside doesn't seem as bright as the reflections on the walls. I would lighten the outside view up to bring some balance & reality back. It sort of seems digitally generated as is.
Greece has some great light & white buildings so maybe some white buildings unseen by us are reflecting light into the room.

This has a wonderful old feel about it - love the lighting and exposure. The Martha Stewart in me says I could definitely fix this up :) Great job! jano

Very nice image, not an easy thing to get decent exposure inside and out.

I agree. Why would anyone not want to live here.
ctfchallenge17-Apr-2006 20:55
Excellent moody shot. You have to wonder why anyone would abandon such a view.
