well you think of something in your language, but when you try to translate it to Eng.. problems might arise in the "expression".. still, not for a "what the hell.." intro..
anyway, I like the image which is the main thing afterall..

Yes DB...... thank you.... ever hear of the snowball effect? After trying to clone out the lightening rod, it sort of gotten off track. Now here's my final answer and that's really my final picture - just the was I saw it. :)

What the hell is a "more conclusory expression"? This is becoming a picture by commitee - as Rod said - stick with the photo you saw!!! DB

Ok HT.... I did alittle crop. :) Thanks for suggestion.

I prefer it with the rod too.. it's geometric simplicity meeting real life..maybe would crop from the left to get symmetry for a more conclusory expression

Thank you Techo - I'm not good at cloning so will keep this til the lighting rod falls off the barn ;)

Great shot, sueanne! Really love it. Both versions are nice, but slightly prefer the one with the cloner out lightning rod. I found the simple geometric shapes appealing. The rod takes a bit of the focus away from that.

Yeah, the lightning rod belongs there, extending the black and white chevron of the roof - it also adds high techy contrast to the beautifully weathered wood... My favourite pic so far :)
Rod 02-Apr-2006 03:55
Yes bugger it Sue Anne, this is the shot you saw so use it:-)

Ah thanks Ric, I'm back to square one and here I am with my original post. Thanks Rod for trying to clone it out... as I said in my other picture, my pp 'cloning' skills are not up to par. For some reason, I can't clone :)
Guest 01-Apr-2006 12:46
I'm not convinced about the lightning rod removal and to my eyes there is a visible blur in the last picture where it has been cloned out. I am sure that part of the beauty of the original is the asymmetry - great picture sueanne - I love the colours...
Rod 01-Apr-2006 11:14
Just have a go at cloning the rod out of the original so you don't have to crop the sky.

I cropped the side a bit.

This was the original shot as trying to get rid of lightening rod...

Maybe I should go back to the original I posted?

This does look good Sue Anne, well done meLady:-) If you wanted to be real Ahrrtsy you could have shot this with 2/3rds sky & the window & roof apex at the bottom of the shot. Vertical or horizontal. Very nice looking shot though.

Thank you Mary Anne, I sort of got rid of the lightening rod and put more contrast --- or should I do it different than this? (I wanted to keep the sky) :)

Oh, I love old barn shots, Sueanne. Maybe you should crop off the lightning rod, which detracts from that weathered wood. Also, I'd increase the contrast a bit so the texture stands out more.
