...well mostly Gran. Busy lifestyles can tend to keep loved ones apart.

that's just the child in me coming out ;)
Tis that little splash of color that brings out the love. hehe
A nice pen would like nice and classy but a bit too cold.

Ok, now here's my take on this image so if you think I'm full of it, just ignore it....
First I love how this is composed. The angle of the paper, with phone and candy framing it is perfect. With the hand coming into the frame with the crayon, you would think it would be a child writing this. So when your mind sees CRAYON you think everything in the frame might be a bit childlike...So one of two things I would do to improve this...since it's a crayon indicating a child is writing this letter, you need a child's hand and I would lose the phone and put something else there that a child would use. Otherwise the easiest way to do it would be to use a nice pen in the hand instead. I'm just all turned around with "who the heck is writing this?" Because from the words, it looks like an adult is writing it who is living away from home and family. Ok, I've gone on enough here...Talk to me in chat when you see me if I am totally lost... ~Britt :)

A true Techo, knew it before I saw your 'sig' - and this is meant as definite compliment :)

I was going to ask if it was printed but the smiley being uneven made me think it might be hand written. I'm not sure that a pink hand would detract from a red heart & crayon but you have seen it & would know. It's a nice shot anyhow Techo:-)

p.s.

Extremely sorry to disappoint but that's not my hand writing. Too may tries to get it that straight without no kiddie lines lol. But I did hope the handwritten feeling would come across. Though hope I didn't spoil the surprise by me mentioning this.

Thanks for the comments everyone :)

As for Gran... while getting in touch is as simple as phone call away, she loves getting emails and I would love a letter now and then. Nothing better than a visit though we don't live too far apart so I'm glad.

No worries Rod but I appreciate your concern. I actually don't mind this one being a partial desat. cliche. The hand being in color would've taken a bit of the focus from the heart.

Lovely sentiments Techo, I would like the shot better if your hand was in colour then the shot wouldn't look so obvious as a cliche partial desat. I almost didn't notice the pretty border:-)

Wow! Techo, this is a wonderful image~ so much going on here. I want to say, "Why not just call?"...with the phone in the image.... then there's the chocolate bar saying you are at ease and relaxed, and you coloring the little heart showing your extra attempt at closeness. Simply lovely. Did I say the penmanship is beyond reproach? :) jano
