Remain Young at Heart (*)

My 63 birthday is coming up very soon. I want to remain youthful and full of the joy of life as I age. Hopefully 2006 will be a year of creative exploration and fun now that I'm retired.

Ann, this is a noble desire and it could have been a great picture if only your face would have been more relaxed

I was hesitant to comment Ann, but then I read your description again. In my opinion...the shot you took was more reflective vs. eye contact with the cam and a smile on your face. For me, given your description, you are looking to the future with this goal in mind. In that respect and my view of your image... BRAVO. Just a simple shot of you, and your eyes say it all. No need for eye contact or a smile... this is you - your goals are in your eyes. Lovely. jano

I think this would express your resolution much better if you had eye contact with the camera and nice big "Ann Smile." :)

And even if the eyes aren't razor sharp, who cares, this is really really really a lovely SP! Great idea and shot!

Are you kidding Sharon? When one clips over 60 we need a lot less contrast on the face than you young-uns:-)

This is a lovely self portrait, Ann. I see a strong, lively woman who wouldn't even think of growing old! The image might be able to use a little more contrast especially around the eyes, nonetheless a very nice shot. ~Sharon
