Thank you both. I realize now it could of been darker to make that silhouette, in fact the original was darker and I lightened it. I think sometimes its the monitor as it shows darker on one and lighter on another .... I know PE3 so I am aware of Rod' terms - just need to work on my pp skills. Thanks for the comments.

Sueanne, don't be intimidated by the technical terms Rod threw in. The changes he'd suggested can be achived with a couple of clicks in a simple image editor (for example - picasa which is free). Just checked for your picture, and it does make a pronounced difference.

What a good shot Sue Anne well done. For me I would lower the Levels or with the curves tool in PS, which will darken the shot some. This will add to the drama of the storm clouds & also darken the foreground into more of a silhouette. Nice entry:-)
