Beautiful. I also really like how it works well with the shadows. About showing two sides of the cube or not, I'm not sure about that aspect but I like this one and there are hints that the cube is a 3d object. Like the glimpse of the edge sticking out a bit from the hand. Perhaps the lower portion of the photo is a bit too tight?

Bugger, I was going to do a shot just like this. But I didn't have a cube, didn't have a kid & didn't have the skill:-) I love the look of the hands & cube set against the oof background. The tone works well too. Well done mate.

i disagree with showing 2 sides of the cube. i think by showing the one wall it makes it more imposing to the child. 2 sides might make the cube more dynamic but i think it would also attract less attention than the single sided cube. just my opinion. - andrew

beautiful dof and angle. i personally would rotate the cube and show two sides (or extend corner a little beyond hand and show bottom side a bit too) just to add extra shadow elements on the cube (side lighting will help a lot). this looks a little static. awesome shot as it is too though. i really like it. -Abstract
