Great attempt. It has a retro look to it if this is what you wanted

Keep trying new things Lonnit, even if the shots are not liked as much as your normal style, it will only improve how you end up. Portraits would have to be geared towards how you interpret the personality of the subject, but a certain style could be a part of shots. Colour is quite risky to work with when stretching out but it's the only way to learn so keep stretching yourself. I think you're on the right track.
I'm torn about this. I don't know whether to keep these alien lamps in, or enter my secret sig that is in development; this portrature style.http://www.pbase.com/lonnit/image/44621534.jpg. Help me decide! ~ Lonnit

The shot looks the right way up viewing it down under. You should do two versions for both hemispheres:-) I love the shadings in this shot & the contradictions from the cool tones of the window blinds to the warm reflection on the wall & ceiling. The exposure is spot on too. I think with all the great elements this would work flipped 180deg also. Very well seen & shot Lonnit.
UT-oh.... if it's signature it should be recognizable - OTOH, we'll call it one of my typical odd things. LOL! Thanks for the great comments. I happen to love this picture myself. It's like retro-alien! LOL! ~ Lonnit
Beautiful, Lonnit! And I didn't know it was yours in the thumbnail. Great clarity, color and composition with the shadows and reflections over the top! Very, very nice! Shu
