Believe it or not I knew this photo was yours when I saw the thumbnail. Not because B&W pictures is a signature of yours, but because the scenery looks so Guatemalan: Small hills without trees where they used to be and a very tall one on the top without all its branches. Also these clouds formation are very characteristic from over here.
Coincidence: I had never heard about Sepalau before and precisely last night a little headline on the newspaper caught my eye, since it talked about this place. Unfortunately it was about how the small lagoons are getting dry due to deforestation. It's a shame. :(

Like you, I find b & w very interesting, but I usually have to work in post-processing to get the proper contrast. I think this photo would benefit from some levels or curves in order to bring out the white of the cloud. As it is, the image is kind of "flat."
