Pablo this is a crop from a slide & when projected on a screen the lady is on the dark side with the hand behind her back illuminated by the sun which made the shot for me. The hand doesn't seem to have the same impact viewed this small. You're correct she should be lighter viewing at this size but I can't lighten too much as there's a lot of scanner noise in the dark areas. I've tried Neat Image but the shots go really soft. ok, I really like this shot... but the monitor of my notebook is bad... so, I didn't see the lady in the thumbnail at first...as I opened it, I saw here, and the pic is really nice...but...can't you shed more light on the lady? I know, it's scanned... but it would improve it very much, in my opinion...of course...

:-) In the original the arch looks black. It must have been your bad influence Alexeig that made me use the dodge tool to lighten it up in there:-)
