He he, Thanks for your comments Shu. The background was Lonnit's idea :)

I like this one. A little sweat on the egg? (It's probably thinking, "I may be dealt a crushing blow!! LOL) BTW, I like your background selection because it enhances the contrast between hard and soft. Shu

That's better Nugar, good shot:-)

I like the way the hammer appears to be protecting the fragile egg. Better background too.

I've changed the image. Changed the point of view to get the bench completely in the frame without the wall behind it showing. How does it look now? It is incredible that every single new toy one gets needs to be used and reused until one learns to use it. In my case here it is the new couple of slave flashes. They are proving difficult to use with close-up subjects. Bt today I have an appointment for another photoshoot at my daughter's ballet school. Let's see how they work with people.

Thanks guys for the opinion. I'll search for a suitable background...

For just this once I agree with Lonnit:-)

I like the egg and hammer, but I'm not thrilled with the background. I find it so bright that it distracts. Being that it's opposites, I guess you could get away with the sharp, modern looking background against the very used looking old hammer, but I don't think it does the shot justice. The egg and hammer are sufficiently opposite. I'd prefer a background that is more suitable to the character of the hammer. Perhaps a dark, sepia toned workbench. It would work with the colors already in the egg and hammer and tie them together, plus the egg would be more out of place in a workbench setting, making all the more opposite of the hammer. Good concept. :) ~ Lonnit
