hel* no :) i really like this shot. a strong presentation of such a simple thing. one has have an eye of an artist to identify the merit of such a shot. -Abstract
(in general, i like your "style" of photography)

Gosh! Yes! (All of the above.) It's images like this that helps me think about all the possibilites in creating a photo and exactly what's involved in the process. I learn a great deal from the commentary attached to the entries. Shu

No this was taken this morning before breakfast in my dining room under 3x60W bulbs in my ceiling light. Dull room. Hence an iso800 speed at F1.8

In your studio? How DO you do your lighting when not in studio - e.g. I assume the comfort shot wasn't in studio for last challenge but lighting was good.

Oh I got him to repeat it alright. But the next 5 or 6 just didn't work quite as well as this. They were too posed - and he's still blissfully unaware of what I was smirking at. There's one other shot that's OK. I just hope he doesn't show his finger to his nursery teachers this morning in this manner.

The DOF is by the awesome Canon 50mm F1.4 lens at F1.8. I retouched out the cut on his finger that he was showing me.

Like it Iso...DOF is perfect - how did you get the DOF so perfect/smooth - bit of POS assistance? I don't believe you didn't have to ask him to repeat it to get the shot...this can't have been a spur of the moment capture. Very good.

Ha ha, I knew there is a story behind it. Poor kid, hope his finger doesn't hurt now.
