Shot under duress.
Three-year-old was tying toy horses to the tripod legs while one-year-old was trying to grab the flowers (she eventually succeeded).
Hats off to Roberta, my inspiration http://www.pbase.com/roberta ).
Beautifully done Chris, especially given the surrounding circus. One thing you might like to try, is to have your 3y/o hold a reflector on the darker side of the flowers, ... this will bring a little more light into the shadows, and give a little more depth to the stems. You don't want to hold it too close, or you will lose the depth. Please don't take this as criticism, as this shot is absolutely stunning... it will just give you a slightly different look, and hopefully give your 3y/o something to do to stay out of your hair - Cheers - Tracy!

Hi Dorys - Look at the link below your message to see how this shot was made. It was just sidelight from a window (and dumb luck). ;)
Lovely shot. I always envy folks who do such a great job of photographing closeups of plants and flowers, but never was successful myself. This makes me want to pursue macro photography. Shu
Thanks for your comment. I wish I could post the shot I took of this setup with the kids all around. It was a riot. But fun to shoot these beautiful gerbera daisies. Best regards, Christina
