This is the original as shot file. RAW processed in C1 with no adjustments made except resizing to 800 pixels. The main light through a honeycomb is placed to my colleagues right hand side (it's actually not me in the picture for once) and aimed at one hand. A second light is placed on the opposite side through a honeycomb and aimed at the other hand. Because the light is so directional, there is little spillage onto the torso and face. I also made him wear a black suit jacket, and behind him is some black cotton sheeting. The main problem is the lit sheeting in front of the plate. But that can be sorted easily. See figure 2!
