He was my grate grate uncle. Son of the mortician Job Thomas and best know for his work in punch. during the first world war he illustrated John Bull for British propaganda. his brother Ivar took over the family business and was paid to create the statue of the city founder in the center of Swansea, as the Thomas family had a founder for creating more elaborate memorials. Bert worked with his family as a welsh mortician, illustrating on the side until world war one when he worked exclusively for the war department.
