On October 15th, Rahil escaped the aftermath of the Commonwealth Games debacle and flew to New York with his Mom and Dad.

Highlights included: a trip to the American Museum of Natural History to see Rahil's distant relative, the T-Rex; seeing a red panda, a snow leopard, and a polar bear, who he tried to disturb, at the Central Park zoo; walking Cleo, Muddy Waters, and Laverne, three adorable dogs; meeting Aunt Gilly, Aunt Molly, Uncle Ro, and cousins Sydney, Ellie, Sam, Elena, and Rosa, as well as Syd's friend Maddie; being attacked by seagulls while eating lunch at Liberty Island; visiting Coney Island with Rahul; travelling to Massachusetts and driving an M3 around a deserted parking lot; seeing real dinosaur tracks; playing with Gabrielle, Morgan, and Madison; seeing a 36" striped bass up close and personal; making elaborate plans to catch a squirrel using acorns and a fishing pole; acquiring a way-too-fancy Buzz Lightyear toy; and watching Toy Story 3 seven times on the airplane.
